I quit my job.

I spent a month and a half traveling around the Western half of the US in my civic.

I visited two of my close college friends in Seoul (and hit Tokyo on the way).

I went to Bay to Breakers. Again.

I spent 2 1/2 months being a beach bum in Santorini, Greece with 4 extremely good friends; the best summer I’ve ever had.

I met some amazing fellow travelers who I know will be lifelong friends.

I hiked the Samaria Gorge in Crete.

I saw the Cliffs of Moher in Ireland.

I had an enjoyable experience in London.

I went to La Tomatina just outside of Valencia (and came away with a funny picture) and camped for free!!

I met up with Rocky Turner IN KENYA and painted walls with Dan for Saint Monicas Children’s Home.

I hiked 15,500 of 18,900 feet of Mount Kilimanjaro. It was an exhausting, brutal experience. But one of the coolest things I’ve ever done. Note to self – train a LITTLE bit next time I plan on ascending up a 19,000 foot mountain.

I spent a month in Ghana with Lumana Credit learning more about how microfinance is conducted at the ground level.

Overall, I’d say it was just about as successful a year as I could possibly hope for. Traveling the world for most of the year was an unbelievable experience that I wouldn’t trade for anything in the world.

All that said, I’m stoked for 2011!!
