What have I been up to the last few weeks? Truthfully, I haven’t been doing much aside from working on Oh Hey World. After a really expensive week in Stockholm and Amsterdam with my best friend, a couple weeks chilling in Amsterdam, and a week sight-seeing in Belgium — I’ve been in need of some down time to just get work done. And, my bank account is certainly beyond in need of a break.

What specifically have I been working on?

In short, staring at my 13 inch MacBook Air.

Doubling down on writing. Since the site redesign for the Oh Hey World travel blog went live a couple weeks ago, I’m averaging about one post for day. That’s a massive increase over the once ever couple weeks pace I was on previously.

Recruiting. I’m still looking for uber smart, passionate travelers to join the team. You would be amazed at the amount of time I’ve spent on Skype and Google Voice talking to people all over the globe. Finding the right developers, even when you know a bunch of them, requires a massive amount of time.

Business Plan & Slide Deck. My slide deck and more formal business plan were pretty pathetic prior to about a week ago. I had the entire vision, notes, competitors, and strategy written in note form in a Google Doc. But it wasn’t concise and ready for public consumption. Getting closer by the day, but I’m still tweaking it. I have a hunch, neither will ever be quite “final”, as I’ll always be thinking about how to make them better.

Finalizing Designs with My Designer. Version 1 of the site is getting really close to final in terms of design and functionality. I’ve been going back and forth with revisions this week with Jessica.

Full on development begins this week, and I couldn’t be more excited!
