Does content marketing drive traffic? Sure, and I’ve used the tactic to drive traffic. But there’s one flaw — content marketing is simply making information overload (the biggest problem on the web in my mind) worse. Making people sort and filter more information out to find what’s truly relevant to them is not making the web better.

While the wealth of content being pushed online on a daily basis is staggering, I’m not really sure what the solution is. You need to capture people’s attention somehow — and content marketing is certainly one of the proven ways to do that.
