If you are passionate and ambitious, you are most likely someone that welcomes constructive criticism. So, as a manager (which I’m not), how do you deliver the criticism? This post seems like pretty good advice to me. The last point, telling your employee they have the capability to be a superstar employee, is a great motivating tool in my opionion. Personally, I know I have areas to improve in, but constructive criticism always serves as a motivator to improve faster.

And relating this topic to blogging- I think many corporations that don’t have open (comments enabled) blogs are those that are afraid of receiving criticism. Afterall, why else would you not allow your users to give you feedback in an open environment?
