I was just sitting down to do some writing with CNN on in the background. On one of their stories about entrepreneurship, and I heard this question, which I believe to be the biggest single question that determines success:

How badly do you want something?

I know it’s a broken record, but you will not succeed if you don’t want it. Whether it’s asking for an introduction or help or learning a language — how badly you want something will determine whether or not you succeed. To succeed, you really really really  have to want whatever it is you are aiming for.

It goes without saying you won’t do much of anything in life if you don’t know what you want — and, sadly, too many people don’t know the answer to that question.
