Drew Meyers

Drew Meyers is a product strategist, writer, and community builder with 15+ years of cross-functional experience in the sharing economy, real estate, and travel industries.

He is the founder of Geek Estate, where the GEM provides to over 500 execs, founders, VCs and practitioners an exclusive, objective lens into the trends, companies, people, and ideas shaping real estate and Built World technology. An avid traveler with more than forty countries under his belt, he previously conceptualized and led two bootstrapped travel apps, reaching 15k+ total global users: Horizon, a private hospitality exchange network, and Oh Hey World, an open source location sharing platform for travelers.

Drew started his career at Zillow in 2005 managing Zillow’s API program and various online partnerships. As Zillow became the #2 real estate portal during his nearly five year tenure, Drew worked with Zillow’s PR team as a spokesperson for the company in various capacities, and founded the Carnival of Real Estate and Geek Estate Blog from within the company. Since then, he has spoken at Inman Connect, REBAR Camps, and a range of other events. The most recent was InnovateHousing, a half-day conference co-hosted by The Washington Center for Real Estate Research and Fannie Mae exploring the intersection of housing, innovation, and tech. He moderated a panel on “The Future of Data: Can Innovation and Privacy Coexist?” (Watch the entire panel here.) He has also been cited as an expert in MIT Technology Review, and other publications.

He was a proud member of Sigma Phi Epsilon’s executive team during WaBeta Chapter’s migration to the Balanced Man Program in 2004, and holds a Business Administration degree from the University of Washington.
