Summary of Event: This launch of Volume II of the Microinsurance Compendium targets insurance and finance sector representatives as well as policymakers, regulators and academics. The sessions with the authors of the Compendium will explore trends in the microinsurance sector. Specifically, the authors and other representatives of the microinsurance field will discuss: client value, health insurance, agriculture and disaster risk insurance. Portions of the event will be available online, including a “question and answer” session with the authors.

Background on Organizer: Established by the UN’s International Labour Organization (ILO) in 2008, the Microinsurance Innovation Facility supports the extension of insurance to low-income people in developing countries through research.
