I’m a huge fan of PandoMonthly interviews Sarah Lacey facilitates with tech founders and investors. People such as Phil Libin, Fred Wilson, and Bill Gurley. If you haven’t watched any of them, you really should. You can watch them all here.
The interviews always end with two questions…
- What do you believe that no one else does?
- If you could have one mediocre superpower, what would it be?
Both are questions you wouldn’t normally think about. I’ve probably watched about 8 episodes in their entirety over the past couple months, and never have a clear idea of how I would answer the questions if ever asked. Here’s my best attempt to put random thoughts into clear answers…
I believe that, with enough will, people can change the world. Without a doubt, most people don’t truly believe that…hence, the reason, they never do. Don’t take that statement the wrong way; I haven’t changed the world…yet.
As for the mediocre superpower? I’d definitely choose the ability to teleport to anywhere within 30 miles. Traffic is literally my least favorite thing on earth, and I’d love to avoid it entirely. Of course, teleporting anywhere in the world would be pretty damn cool, but I wouldn’t classify that as mediocre.
How about you?
